About VERSES
Join us on September 28th for the second annual VERSES makers market and community festival! Guests can browse an eclectic market, meet local artists and authors, enjoy live readings and performances, sample food and drink while relaxing in the garden, and learn all about the adult literacy program!
VERSES is a ticketed event with accessible ticket pricing and a variety of opportunities to support adult literacy in our community. We hope you’ll join us as we spotlight the library's adult literacy program, raise awareness on crucial literacy issues, and support our thriving local creative communities! Visit www.tulsalibrary.org/verses for more about the event.
About the Literacy Program
The Ruth G. Hardman Adult Literacy Service provides direct support to adults in Tulsa County who want to build their literacy skills by matching them with volunteer tutors. We work with a wide variety of adult learners including immigrants and refugees, people with physical and developmental disabilities, formerly incarcerated people, people who are recovering from the effects of a stroke, and many more. We have served thousands of adults since our inception in 1977, and it is very typical for us to have a waitlist. We hope you'll help us keep our program strong as we continue our efforts to meet a vital need in our community. Visit www.tulsalibrary.org/literacy to learn more about the literacy program.
